Picture archiving & communication system

PACS is a network of computers for storage, retrieval, management, distribution and presentation of medical images. Medical equipment can automatically store the medical images on the PACS server.

The modalities (MRI, CT, PET, Ultrasounds, …) from Imaging Centres send the images to the PACS Server . These images are sent to Radiologists for creating reports which are then returned to the Imaging centres for further treatment of patients.
